✨️ Elementary (Ages 6–10) Poem or Letter to Gaza Length: 1–2 page
✨️ Middle School (Ages 11–13) Poem or Short Story
Length: 2–3 pages
✨️High School (Ages 14–17) Short Story or Essay Length: 1000 – 1250 words
✨️University (Ages 18–25) Essay
Length: 2500 – 5000 words double spaced

📚 Sample Topics
You are welcome to write on your own topic related to Palestine.
Sample topics (for university age) are provided below:
1. Explain the origins and goals of the BDS movement and assess its global impact.
2. Compare how apartheid and the Indian Act used law to control and segregate racialized peoples.
3. Discuss how settler societies claim indigeneity to legitimize land control and erase Indigenous sovereignty.
4. Evaluate Canada’s international human rights commitments in relation to its domestic record.
5. Analyze why Qatar faced intense human rights scrutiny during FIFA 2022 while Western host nations were largely overlooked.
6. Discuss the historical continuity of Muslim devotion to Al‑Quds and contemporary implications.
7. Discuss the earliest known inhabitants of the land of Palestine, drawing on archaeological, historical, and textual evidence.
